Have you ever said a word so many times that it starts to sound like it's not even really a word? How can you describe a word that is so many different things? Writing describes the act of placing different combinations of symbols in different sequences to create a language that everyone can understand. Writing is one of the most ancient skills to ever exist, it gave humans a way to communicate that no other species has ever discovered. It's powerful, giving people the ability to share their voice with people from all walks of life. Giving people a voice they might not have had before. It can bend and shape the very course of history which it has proven to have done already time and time again. Just think how many times it has been written "history will repeat it's self".
1.Expression:
Writing is a huge platform for people to express themselves. It gives writers the freedom to share their personal thoughts and feelings through paper. A good piece of expressive writing will be enough to bring the reader to tears.
2.Writers Block:
Something I am actually experiencing right now. An extremely frustrating feeling some writers experience when they are having difficulty getting the words from their brains onto their paper. Can be a very serious condition causing symptoms such as; poorly written papers and frequent trips to the refrigerator.
3.Persuasive:
A form of writing that is used to sway a reader one way or the other, it can be very useful when used correctly. To be executed properly the writer must state their opinion on the topic and back it up with the facts.
4.Free Form:
A casual style of writing, one that does not follow any set of rules. A style of writing too often overlooked. People are so programmed to write things in such specific ways. Always being sure to follow all the rules they have been taught about writing over the years. The art of free form writing is being lost. The act of simply sitting down and writing whatever comes to mind, not worrying about if MLA format is being followed.
5.Poetry:
Writing with a rhythm, poetry is a from of writing that seems to flow unlike any other style of writing. A dance is formed between the words being spoken in a poem. One of the most ancient forms of expressive writing.
